Don't know why but it felt like you hit the backspace on lot of stuff.

Understandable. But I do get the inner conflict of wanting to view one's father as both the culprit and the victim

This post has made me introspect so much..I've a three year old baby girl, I can only imagine how's she is going to perceive me. The relationship my mom had with her dad is something that I harp back on. But keep the authenticity flowing

every paragraph hit me like a truck. might have read this 2-3 times and in the world of content, pausing & re-reading something is truly the benchmark of beautiful work! atleast the agony brings good words *goes into a corner shedding a tear*

I have never read something more true and beautiful than this about this relationship. It just hit home man. Absolutely love it!

1 & 8 - solution to get rid of daddy issues is by creating mommy issues? from the protector kink to the dominatrix kink? if everyone lives objectively, there won't be any culture and nothing to dissect and write about. but the opposite side, of attaching labels and creating standard societal images to be lived up to, is being stuck in this endless loop where we pick ourselves up from one pit only to fall into the next one

7 - I understand this post is meant to look at things from the female lens, but many little boys turned men also have the label of "bottomless pit of love" associated with females

anyway, it was a nice read.

I don’t think I have tried to provide solutions to anything here. This blog is not a social commentary, it’s a projection of personal experience.

I didn't mean solution, poor choice of words. I was commenting on the alternate theory you proposed in 1.

also, given the celebrity status, personal opinions have the power to create social norms :D
